Community Update from Sgt TOM GRACE

Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well.

Today, Thursday 22nd October '26, Carmarthenshire NPPT took part in a multi agency operation targeting the illegal sale of counterfeit/illegal tobacco and vapes

6 business premises in total were simultaneously visited in Carmarthen, Ammanford and Llanelli

We conducted activity with Local and Regional Trading Standards Teams, Immigration Team, HMRC, Fire Service and Carmarthenshire Environmental Enforcement Team

This approach allowed us to maximize information sharing and focus on priority locations 

From these planned premise visits we have seized 1000's of illegal cigarettes, a large volume of tobacco and vapes

Property has been seized, of which includes vehicles and cash

We will continue to react to information received from the public and to ensure the community remains safe, working with partners to do so
